Live In Care

What Is Live In Care?

Live In Care is a realistic, respectful alternative to placing your elderly friend or relative in a nursing or residential home, maximising independence and enabling them to remain active and engaged with the people who matter most. Living at home allows people to spend more time with their families, feel safe in a familiar environment and be a part of their local community.

A general assumption sometimes exists which suggests that moving someone into a nursing home or residential home is the best solution for all parties, although this is not the case.  Given the choice, most older people would rather remain living independently, in their own home, for as long as possible.  Live In Care provides this choice.

How Does It Work?

Live In Care assignments can last from one week to long-term, based on the person's needs. Following your initial enquiry, we will arrange a convenient time to carry out an assessment of the client, meeting their family and identifying their needs.  We will then identify the most suitable carer to provide round the clock support.

As well as the full-time Live In Carer, we will identify further staff to cover breaks (a minimum 3 hour daily break is a legal requirement for Live In Carers), holidays and sickness.  This is to maintain as much continuity as possible, as nobody likes a stranger in their home.
